On Thursday morning, a tragic incident occurred near Paras Chowk, Kalkaji, New Delhi, when a tree fell on a motorcycle carrying two people. According to the Delhi Police, his daughter Priya, 22, got major injuries, while her father, Sudhir Kumar, 50, passed away during the treatment. Both were taken to the AIIMS Trauma Care Centre after being rescued.
According to police, the accident took place around 9:50 AM in front of an HDFC Bank near Paras Chowk. A large roadside neem tree, weakened by heavy rain, collapsed, trapping Sudhir and Priya beneath it. They were riding a motorcycle when the tree fell. The local police quickly reached the spot after receiving a PCR call. The Station House Officer of Kalkaji, along with his team, was joined by the ACP Kalkaji and a traffic inspector to carry out the rescue operation. An i10 car parked nearby was also damaged, but no one inside was hurt. To prevent more problems, the police controlled traffic and protected the area.
In another development, a murder case was resolved by the Delhi Police in eight hours.Important evidence, such as the victim's motorbike, the attackers' bloodied clothing, and two bloodstained knives, was found, and four suspects were taken into custody.Pravesh (20), Pankaj Kake (23), Ajay Akshay (28), and Ashu (21), who all lived in Ram Nagar, Nabi Karim, were the guys who were detained.
The murder occurred on August 10, when Bansi, also known as Pali, a 22-year-old resident of Amarpuri, was stabbed multiple times at Tel Mil Gali in Nabi Karim. The attack was reportedly due to a long-standing dispute in the area. Bansi was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. Ashu was arrested on August 12 following a tip-off, while the other three had been detained earlier.
